bp swap problems

    bp swap problems

    i have a 93 mazda 323 that i swaped a bp from a 94 escort gt and i cant get it running. when i got the engine for free it was missing a fuel pressure regulator and an injector which i took from the b6 engine that was in the 323 it runs only at wot and then backfires and dies. i have tried everything any help?

    You need a fuel injector for a BP, they are yellow.

          I have bp injectors and fpr I can sell you.

            it should work after i change injectors and fpr? i just want to make sure im not wasting money for nothing

              If you're using 1 b6 injector and 3 bp injectors 1 cyl is starving for fuel that's why it doesn't run run unless you're wot. I can't say that will fix any other issues you might have but at least you know you have the prper injectors and fpr in there

                yea messing with different injectors is a no-no, but the fuel pressure regulator is the same my friend, runs the same baseline and max PSI as any non turbo regulator...

                  so if i put all 4 1.6 injectors it should run. even if it runs like crap it should still run so i would be able to determine if thats my only problem right?

                    I don't think it would run at all. Those 1.6 injectors are ment for those small 88hp motors not 125hp bp. If it did run it would probably starve the motor and lean out which can cause you to blow your motor. Sending a pm
