    identify this header

Bought this engine few weeks ago and came with this header, I don't thinik it's oem due to no heat shield mounting tabs.

only markings are the number 166 between #1 and #2 runner, and 01-9 between #3 and #4 runner.

Also wouldn't it be better to locate the o2 sensor where it could sample all cylinders, not just #3?

thanks for in advance for everyones help.

not sure what header that is but theres no point in having the stock 02 anywhere else really. Its a narrow band and doesn't react fast enough to do anything anyways.

Dont know who made it , but I like the design.

Its clean and long bends would make for little flow restriction

@Bomdoutscort, yeah I checked local salvage yards a few weeks ago and found this engine $260 after tax and before core return, was in inside storage for 3500 days, yeah almost 10 years. Around 62k miles.

Has Center Force cluch PP and assume disk, nice NGK wires.

I have a list of items i want to upgrade, all shifter linkage bushings, shifter, motor mounts, 2.5inch exhaust, relocate battery to trunk area.

Was researching lightening the stock flywheel, still retain daily driver friendliness while help rev quicker.... is this possible without too much headache? or best to just leave it alone?

Thanks for help with the header indentification, the pictures of the PS headers i've seen looked poorer quality to the one i have, not that this one is top shelf but looks pretty decent, welds, bends, flange.

I would honestly like a 10lb flywheel. It'd be so much rev happy in my opinion. If I were closer i'd help with the swap. Its not complicated at all though.

old style pacesetter. I had one and it sucked! but way better than other bolt on headers.

definitely an old pacesetter, for some reason they joined 1-4 2-3 instead of 1-3 2-4. regardless it works better then factory

I still can't figure out why they swapped designs. The old style (the one pictured above) is WAY better than the new style.

A lightened flywheel would be nice lol, I can really feel the weight of mine under boost now...if you're accelerating and you push in the clutch, the rpms climb just a bit from the rotational mass I'm guessing.

Pacesetter for sure: Just got mine a few days ago for $5.

Lightened flywheels are fun. So are light cranks, I like the BP/B8 combo for the rev happiness.
