exhaust

hey guys. my muffler assy. had rotted out a while ago. the rest of the exhaust has been replaced but, i wanted to switch to a performance muffler instead of going back to stock. wanted to know which one would be the best one to go with and could install myself. i also think i need to buy the extension pipe because the original muffler assy. had the extension pipe welded on as one piece. what do you guys think?

checked out some stuff on e-bay and the performance mufflers for some reason are a lot cheaper than the factory exhaust. cheaper would be better if there is a specific one i should get for this car. oh, it is a 1992 protege LX DOHC 1.8L.
