What you have technically is a BP.

Really, all you would need to have a "legit" BP would be to swap over the DOHC cylinder head (which I read gives you a compression ratio that takes well to boost ). That said, I'm not sure if beefed up internals are necessary, as the stock stuff is pretty stout, but that could be one thing. Intercooler, hoses and all that other stuff is obvious. Good engine/fuel management is a big part of it.

Seriously, though, search the forum and read up on here before making threads, man. Finding info about turbocharged Proteges is as easy as finding internet porn.

The internet was made for porn. Anything else on the internet is just a bonus to look at after you're done with the porn.

I have searched but very sketchy information about it is available. Its almost like finding "bigfoot" if you ask me.

There is no way you are going to get those numbers NA. If it was me I would get a log manifold built a dsm turbo or a t3 turbo and just boost the sohc. slap on a megasquirt add some bigger injectors. If you want to use a gtx setup then go with a head swap because the bp26 exhaust manifold won't work on the sohc head.
bp swapped escort lx, gtr ecu, gtr intake manifold, A code VAF, rx7 460cc injectors, ky clutch, holset hy35 turbo on 8lbs, 38mm tial wastegate, ramhorn manifold, full 3 inch ss exhaust, walbro 255 fuel pump

this. And the reason you won't find much info on boosting a Sohc is because not many have. you'll have to custom fab a log manifold like he said. Look up my old bud (sohc 1.8t). He's not around the forums anymore but there's pics of his boosted Sohc. Custom log manifold, t3, rx7 440cc injectors and a standalone will get you there.

Or a pontiac/Buick m62 supercharger... Pretty simple. Either way plan on having a wide band o2. It will let you tune it up safely, without melting pistons.

I don't have a problem going the turbo route, that's what I planned on doing. But in my part of the world lack of info on these cars makes me scared cuz I cant afford to blow my engine. So I wanted a safe goodies list with a safe amount of boost not tryin to blow engine or anythin.

if cost is a big concern then using the bp is the better idea.

Yup. Bp head swap-200 tops. Gtx ex manni-100. Gtx turbo with dp and oil/water lines and block fittings-200. Gtx ecu-120 tops. Intercooler with bpv-200 on eBay. Safe boost is 7-9psi which is stock on the gtx setup. That setup will get you about 170-180 whp and roughly 29mpg
