91 protege dx drive shaft stuck

I'm trying to change the drive shafts on my car and I got the passenger one done no problem but the driver side one refuses to come out. Do you guys have any tips??

take 6' length of say 1"link chain and wrap one end round the backside of the inner cv cup and cinch it down not tight with a nut n bolt through the links and give it a good sharp yank. That's how you get a straight pull and it'll pop out like a loose tooth.

I've had very good luck using a large chisel and a 4lb sledgehammer.

large crowbar .. secret is to jerk it out. use the bit of slack that there is as a running start . dont try to slowly press it out . sometimes helps to rotate it a little each try

It's easy to damage flanges and cases and stuff like that with a prybar and a hammer. Awful difficult to damage stuff with the chain method. The prybar thing, even if you don't hurt a flange or seal, can be rough on the output shaft bearing, what with the side loads imposed on it and, as we all know, is made of ice and is mounted in cheese.
