I replaced the clutch master on the BG recently because it was leaking. The car overall has been acting a bit odd since with gear changes, shuddering and moderate acceleration when the clutch is depressed in gear at a stop. It's never consistent and usually things are normal. Still needed fixing so I check the FSM for adjustments to see if I had any glaring mistakes.
My pedal height was very low about 2 inches away from the recommenced 7.7-8 so I adjusted that. And that changed things for the better however I presently have close to zero pedal free play.
The fsm is nice enough to list both
Pedal free play 0.03-0.13inches and
Total pedal free play .197-.512inches
The supporting diagram is labeled "pedal free play" which would be helpful if they weren't two different specs.
If it weren't such a hassle adjusting the nuts under the dash I'd just try both and see which feels better but I'm both curious which is the correct one and unmotivated to keep crawling under there.
