    323 hood screwed

    my mom was driving my '93 323 and she crashed into the back of a truck, it totally screwed the hook up, is there any other car hoods that fit my 323, like meybe a protege or a escort...well if u have info on a new hood let me know plz...!
    93' mazda 323 - stock 1.6L sohc, absolutely no mods

    protege ones don't fit, the hoodline is different

      you could use the 94 protege hood it is the same i think

            I have tried this and know first hand. The only hood that fits the 323 is a 323 hood. The only way another hood will fit is if the fenders are swapped out as well. Even then I am not 100% sure if the hinges will even line up.
            The 94 pro hood has the same slanted headlight design as the 323, but is still physically 2-3 inches wider. Try local j/y's. I had a biatch of a time finding a hood for my 323. For some reason almost all of the 323's in my area have some sort of front end damage.
            The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

              I think u can put on a protege hood, but you just wont have the dip in the middle and I believe the 94 protege hoods have the dip to clear things up.

                94 has the slanted style (with the dip) like your talking about, but the hoods themselves are wider when I tried one.
                The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.
