mx3/protege/egt steering wheel?

will the steering wheel from a mx3 or protege work in my EGT if i were to get a steering wheel adaptor thingy?

Is the horn connection the same? The cruise control connector? It's prolly the same.

I put a MX-3 steering wheel center on a Protege wheel(I happened to find a very NEW steering wheel at the junkyard, looked like the person bought it then the car went to the yard), all that is needed for that is the front cover and the back plastic cover.

Yes, it's a '92 wheel, with the "squared key" emblem(to match the one on the grill).I currently don't have a pic of it(atleast a good one), but it's essentially the same as the a '92 MX-3 wheel.

Also the horn design on the MX-3 one is better and won't collapse like the Protege one. Looks a lot better IMO.

IIRC, the splines on the Mazda are different from the Ford.
This will work
MX3 > Protege

this will not.
MX3 > EGT
Protege > EGT

splines are the same on my roomates escort. He has a protege wheel on his 92 escort LX sedan.

OK, like i said i wasn't sure, but i recal reading that someone had tried it and they could not fit it on the EGT splines... maybe it was the 95/96 EGT that differ...?

maybe, because mine doesnt have a airbag, and newer scorts do it would make them different
