cowl hoods are awesome, my friend has a 94 escort 1.9, and we're throwing the 1.9 HO intake manifold on, but we have to cut a hole out of the hood, and we're doing a cowl scoop on it to cover up the hole! hahah
I still haven't gotten around to putting the scoops on but now I have a good reason! My buddy has a shop with a paint-booth and he wants to paint my car... so we're gonna install the scoops and then take care of all my other needed body work and spray my pro

keep in mind the overall airflow.. The GTR's had the scoops in the front (and the EVO's) because air comes in through the fmic and radiator, then picks up the massive heat from the turbo/manifold, and then goes right out the top.
by putting in dual scoops towards the back-half of the hood, you're going to sort of equalize pressure towards the back/firewall, and underhood temps might be higher than you'd like.
I would suggest thinking about ONE scoop to pass air through the TMIC, and try to get it sealed fairly well against the hood and have some general guides to keep the exiting air going straight down and out behind the tranny right where the battery used to go.
Otherwise, you could end up with a lot of turbulence in the path of the TMIC, and it won't really cool all that well.
Just a couple of my harebrained thoughts, take them as you will.
