Removing rear bumper and bumper cover

Hi all, new to the forum here...

I just bought my 3rd mazda two weeks ago and someone just rear ended me in my 93 Protege. I'm trying to remove the rear bumper cover but I'm not able to access the top clips. Do you have to remove the entire rear bumper to just remove the cover? If so, how do I unbolt the bumper? Any input appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Shane

open the trunk and remove the back plastic cover. under it you will find the bolts for it, there is also one (or two?) directly under the car from the ones in the trunk.

remove those and the screws from the bottom edges and the top edges in the wheel well and your done
