    Shifter Linkage Adjustment?

I find the linkage is a little out of adjustment on my 91 GT (1.8), sometimes when I'm downshifting from fourth into third it wants to wonder into fifth instead and I was wondering if the linkage is adjustable?

have you checked into or searched for brass shifter bushings, this may be the problem.
According to my Anger Management Counselor, after 26 weeks of anger management class, I should be an expert when it comes to Anger Management...tell that to the guy who threw a starburst at my car in rush hour traffic...haha

They're bronzeoil, and they make a HELLA big difference. My shifter was mad sloppy before I installed my Corksport shifter-bushings.

Are these available at the dealer? Are these bushings located at base of the shifter?

        Thanks

The factory bushings aren't worth anything, buy the $34 Corksport bushings... you won't regret it.

Awesome... where did you buy the bushing kit from?

looking at your picture it looks like all you really need is #11, B and 15....?

It's hard to tell from the pic, what does 27 do?

The #27 bushings connect the shift linkage to the tranny, the #11 bushings connect the shift linkage to the shifter. It's obvious once you get under the car, i'll take pics if you think it'd help.

Ya... there's quite a bit going on in that pic, I think I get it... does rod #28 connect to rod #23?

Up till this car I've always owned rear wheel drive cars and the stick bolts directly into the tranny so I'm a newbie to this type of set-up....

the rods work in unison. One rod holds the shifter in place. The other selects the gear off of the shifter pivoting.
