if you bring them to a machine shop they could probably do something but i wouldn't chance it.

yeah they could probably redrill a new bolt pattern or even space out in a new area and drill but it would be $$ and would probably sacrifice some strength so overall... not worth it

No. They have an odd-ball bolt pattern. The Protege is 4x100. The 1st gen RX-7 is 4x110, unless it's an 84/5 GSL-SE, then it's 4x114.3. Either way, they're not going to fit.

Gah, why? Why would you want to go through the trouble to fit them, even if they are the 14"s, you can find 14" LX wheels at many junkyards and you can actually put them on the car!

I paid $100 for my LX wheels with flat-spotted tires at a j/y. Put your RX7 wheels on eBay and use the money to find some Protege/Miata wheels on eBay

I donno, junkyards near me only charge $60 for a set of wheels. Ofcourse the good ones are gone as soon as the car comes in or before the car makes it into the yard. You shouldn't have a problem finding the 1st style LX wheels, the 2nd style like mine might be harder to find though.
