IT only left me Stuck once and it was my fault (I used a bad clutch cable), it has a swap and starts up everymorning. HAving 2 cars really expands my knowledge of cars as well.

Now as far as getting a mustang.. wtf why? You are basically telling him ditch the protege. If he boosts it, is he suppossed to stop there? Just boost it 8 psi and it's done? People flip out on me when I mention a honda but its cool for you guys to say "ya the protege is a waste of time get a camaro"

Heres how I see it. If you like the protege and you want it your project car, awesome! Buy a pos daily driver.. a geo, a honda anything. Then focus on the protege and do it right. Hey you might even save some $ on ins in the process!
true, but you could have one with a KL-ZE and the other with a BPT.... that would be pimp.
The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

          Depends on the mods

If he is going to do a swap and beef up the suspension I dont see that as a major problem to use it as a daily driver.

I have a 323 with the BP05 with high compression pistons and cams and I have no big problems.

But if you are goin extreme on NOssin it and maybe blow the engine, then is not a good idea to go daily driver. Also, you got top be realistic in your mechanical skills. I have seen dudes who go crazy when the oil filter does not come out and cant figure out how to take it out.

Many times, being your own mechanic is how by the book you are on working on your car, but when zsxhyt hits the fan and cant figure out how to take that jammed bolt or broken plug, etc. You know what I mean, the Mcgyver mode.

Its your call, good luck with your car and show pics of updates and project.
