inboard dyno?

I was wondering if anbody has heard of an inboard dyno .....something that plugs into the ecu or something that will give a readout of hp tq ect. and possably could upload on my computer to check if mods are gaining or losing hp

also known as a road dyno. they definitely aren't as accurate as a chassis dyno. if you want to do before and after with it, you really should drive the same stretch of road, under the same conditions to compare. IMO it's really not worth the money, just go to a chassis dyno.

how much is an average dyno run at a chasis dyno?

damn its like 40-50 bux for a base at some shops here... usually 3 pulls.

here in northern VA every gas stations got one for the emissions check...probly cheaper here

we have them for emissions check as wel, but they dont read HP, just engine speed and RPMs.
