I know you guys have talked about this before, and I'm fairly certain that I do have the BG chassis, it's just that i'm looking at the suspension and I can't remember if struts and springs made for the protege/escort/323 will fit on my car. I know that the roll bars wont because of the way my endlinks are made, and that spring rates are made for specific cars, so don't flame me for those. I already know this!! But, the struts are mostly what I am curious about. Help, please!!!

MX-3 is BG chassis?

Struts interchange.
It's basically the same floorpan and frame. The body on the MX-3 is flared out for the wider subframe, the trunk is chopped off a bit to tuck the ass in and the rad support angles out further to make a bit more room in the engine bay.
So all in all, it's the same chassis from the window-line down, from the lower rad support all the way to the end of the spare tire well. The B-pillar is removed (obviously) since it's a coupe.
The MX-3 is technically the EC chassis. My ClubProtege.com Feedback Thread

the suspension geometry are the same. And FWIW, i know you can take the whole rear assembly out of a mx3 and swap it for the 323's. but you have to swap everything.
if the engine fits in the prtoege/323 it will fit in the Mx3, if that is your 2ond question. When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

mx3 is EC chassis.
its unibody is very similar, but not identical, but then again, there are like 5+ variants of the BG chassis unibody
mx3's main difference points worth noting:
wider front & rear track
weirder swaybars with heim-joint style endlinks
wheelbase is unique, its between the 323's and the protege's basically
front radiator support is extended outward to make a LOT more engine bay room for V6
radiator sits under the rad support, not behind it like on 323/protege/escort
the windsheidl/dashboard is 2" lower than on a 323/protege/escort, hence why mx3 seats sit 2" lower
roof is a good 2-4" lower, overall height of car is way less than any BG
as for BG chassis differences....based on the research i've done, the wheelbases of the protege and escort SEDAN are the same. The escort 3 door is VERY close to that of the sedan, ever so slightly shorter. The 323 has the shortest wheelbase of them all by a longshot too. the escort 5-door hatch and wagon may have the same wheelbases as the sedan
the 97+ escort and zx2 might have differing wheelbases too
as far as the engine bays and floorpans on all of these cars...they are pretty much identical. 323/protege/mx3/escort/tracer/zx2 all pretty much the same. Struts interchange as will springs. engine mounting brackets and **** can swap between their bays, all the bolt holes for the mounting a K or B series mazda engine are there. newer escorts have a few differences and quirks involved if you wanna swap out the 2.0 SPI or zetec for one of the mazda engines but it isn'st too hard.
you can prety much interchange seats with any of the cars too
swaybars among all bg cars (not mx3) interchange as well
oh yeah, forgot to mention...94-2001 kia sephias were apparently all based off the BG platform. Apparentlyh 98+ (the 2nd generation) used a weird as hell style engine..i'm not sure if tis a BP or a hyundai beta engine (aka elantra/tiburon 1.8). but its very difference from the BP the 94-97 generation used.93' Noble Green MX-ZE (sold)
