I did some searching but couldn't find it, did the 1990 323s have drop hoods like later model proteges? I wasn't aware that they did, if so.

the 323's have the slant style hood like the 94 protege's.

The parts DO NOT interchange however. The protege hood is like 2 in wider for some reason.

Ugh that is a hard call If it was me i'd grabThe 323 up for parts but its the rust that has me stumped Its one of those things i have to see in person .
the protege on the other hand it looks like a better choice but again I'd have to see it too in person.
