Wow, that's a high idle. Check for intake air leaks - esp in the intake hoses + connections (altho I can't see this causing that high of an idle). Is the throttle cable linkage somehow sticking or misadjusted and not allowing the throttle plate to fully close?

Bad isc valve?? (bottom of the throttle body)

maybe some sort ofa vacuum leak?? 3-4krpm is an insane idle...when my intake hose was cracked and broke, my idle was only like 2k

Maybe your throttle plate is stuck open?! So its acting as if you pressed the gas a certain amount all the time?!

check your TDC with a timing light and adjust the throttle linkage to get the optimum idle speed which i believe is 850 rpm for AT's. but that could be just one part of the puzzle.

A bad tps or dirty aic could be causing your problem.

He meant to say IAC. It's connected to the throttle body.

AIC, IAC, same difference. Different ways of saying the same thing.

                Air Idle Control.

                Idle Air Control.

Different manufacturers go by different names.

Take it easy. I'm just giving him the FSM term for it. No one's trying to make you look bad.

                    No one is uneasy here.

I was just letting you know why I referred to it as a AIC instead of a IAC.
