    removing my intake 93 protege lx

    i need to change the hose that stops and goes into the block between that and the intake, cant get the intake off, got all the obvios bolts off any ideas?

    First off, welcome to Club Protege.

    A pic of what you're trying to describe would be helpful, but did you forget to take off the intake manifold support bracket?

        the green is screws nuts bolts and **** i removed and can find


        the other end stops between the manifold and the block and goes into the block.

          Just for future refrence, the intake manifold goes to the cylinder head, not the cylinder block.

                    theres one under the throttle body...at least on the dx mani, you gotta take it off to get it....

                      supposing the two bolts from the underside with the nuts can stay in, it should be out, i'll check for the one under the throttle body in the am, but i dont think i could put that back together.

                        whats the second line coming off the throttle cable wheel? the one on the top, i've never seen that before, always wondered why there was a second notch for a cable.

                        any ideas? im clueless

                          if the throttle cable wheel was on a AUTO its prolly for the kickdown cable for passing gear . they prolly just used the same wheel and slapped it on the MT that was on the AT, wich would be vacant if on the MT

                            sounds reasonable to me, i said **** it, sent it to a shop, after trying to pry the intake off with none of the screws in it, im letting the gearheads work it out, ****ty tho i couldnt do it myself.

                              That sucks man.

                              I just took this pic for you to show you what you were missing. There are 4 bolts on the bottom.
