Hot head is good but that is taken care of. Anyways, we'll see next weekend when i tackle the problem

Is it better getting BKR5 or BKR6 spark plugs? I'm getting NGKs platinum but not sure whether i need hotter or colder plugs?

PS: a new head here would be around 100 bucks, it's rip-off all the way here

If no serious mods then buy the recommended NGKs not colder or hotter!

Stay away from platinum plugs unless you're the lazy type who likes to go 50k between tune-ups. Regular copper plugs will perform better but won't last as long (about 15k). If you want something GOOD use iridium plugs, they're better than copper ones and will last almost as long as plat.
              Denso makes good plugs too...

If your ignition system can handle the larger gap a BKR6ES-11 improve throttle response. I use the larger gap on my GTX running 15psi so an n/a car should be able to handle it.

              BKR6ES isn't V-power www.sparkplugs.com/results_cross.asp?pid=BKR6ES
              But the BKR6E is www.sparkplugs.com/results_cross.asp?pid=BKR6E
              So is the BKR6EY http://www.sparkplugs.com/results_cross.asp?pid=BKR6EY

              standard plug, larger 1.1mm (0.043") gap https://www.sparkplugs.com/results_c...?pid=BKR6ES-11
              V-power, larger gap https://www.sparkplugs.com/results_c...p?pid=BKR6E-11
              I'd use these https://www.sparkplugs.com/results_c...pid=BKR6EIX-11

              Here's what sparkplugs.com rec'ds for the BP

Notice they rec'd the larger gap plugs...

They'll cost about 3x a regular plug and should also last about 3x longer.

The cars with 100k tune-up intervals are running platinum or iridium/platinum plugs. IMHO, they don't last 100k.

I decided to get those, looked the best bang for the buck. Irridiums are 11$ each so it would have costed me around 50$ with the taxes...

You shoulda gotten the BKR6ES-11 that NGK specs for the engine.
But the smaller gap plugs that you got should last a little longer.
