    Please help decode a Japanese VIN

    I got a front clip from Japan and I'd like to know what year it's from. Though I don't have the VIN in front of me now. I'll post it later. protegefaq.net doesn't have it. Is there even a way to tell what year?

      Nice link. You think that they have a page like that that decodes Ford VINs?

            BG8Z = GTX, BG8R = GTR, that's all I know about BG vin's.
            The guys at www.fordlaser.com or www.323gtx.co.uk should know.
