    97 escort struts

i need to replace one of my rear struts and i have one escort 97 (not egt) rear strut laying around. It looks very similar to my 323 struts but i'm not sure whether it fits or not.

Does any one ever tried these on a pro?

It will fit. That I'm sure of. I'm not sure if its going to perform any better or any worse.it fits in the same wat as the zx2 sr struts do. there isn't a moddification that needs to be done when putting the back in. Its just like changing the oem piece.

Thanks Turpro. I am just dropping in a whole strut-spring-mount combo from an escort to replace the blown strut and the broken spring.

Now I'm not sure if the spring rate and height is the same but it will just drop right in there. Maybe look for the other side just in case its not the same. That way you won't lean. When I first bought my pro I swapped the struts and springs from a 99 se scort until I bought the sr struts and b&g springs
