I've got a 92' Mazda Pro, she's acting up a little now. Whats happening is that whenever I get in the car, everything goes fine until I either press on the brakes (before I start the car), or turn the key forward to the start position. Then the whole electrical system goes down. None of the lights, radio, or anything will work. Usually if I waited a while the electrical system would start to work again, until I pressed the brake or turned the key. I'm guessing its some short in the electrical system, but I'm not sure, so I thought I would check in and see if you guys could offer any help.

Sounds like a bad battery or loose battery connection/bad ground in general as when my battery went the gauge cluster lights lit up till i hit start at which point it tryed to draw so much power that everything went out at that moment. Good luck.**SOLD** 93 EGT with more suspension mods then your average riced out civic's # of decals + useless "bling/style/culture" mods!**SOLD**

sounds like a bad battery, bad battery terminal, or a bad main ground at the body.

Hey, thanks guys, I'll check out the battery terminals/ground and battery and see if I can get it to work. However, I should say I tried jumping it, and even while the jumper cables were connected I was still having the same problem. I just had a battery go bad in my dads car, and it work for a while when we gave it a jump. So I'm guessing it may be the connections then??-Jon
