How should I mount my msd box?

I'll be putting in a MSD 6-al with a 2 step limiter soon. I was wondering if they get hot, cuz I would like to put in the my glove box. Or if I mount it under the hood. How do they deal with the elements (water, dirt, snow, and stuff)? Fell free to post pix of how you did it.

    Thanks for lookin'

I mounted mine inside the engine bay on the driver side fender near the headlight right above the cone filter.

ive heard of people mounting them within the cabin and having no ill effects. i'll be mounting mine under my dashboard near the ECU.

Well I think I'm going to give it a shot inside the car. If I remember to grab my camera I'll post up some install pic.

the MSD tach signal can be interpreted by a lot of aftermarket tachs without using an adapter. obviously the SAFC falls under that category

Alright so I drove the car home (about 15min) and on the way to tach read on my SAFC quit working.

Is my box junk or WTF did I do wrong.

EDIT: So I did some research and that buzzing is normal, so I might have to just mount it outside. But I'm still confused about the tach read on my afc.
