Is 250 to much for a bp?

OK, so I have a 94 DX and not fealing to confident that the motor is going to last for a real long time. Its only got 158,000 on it but the prior owner did some real shady work to it and its only getting like 23 MPG. and doesn't like to start warm. I Realize thats probely just a bad maf. But why spend money ona motor I don't want. so thinking I might as well swap in a bp. The local junkyard has several Kia's with bp's in them one only has 70,000 on it and thinking it more then likely would run great its all still sealed up and the car was T-boned bad so thinking it should work. No manual trannie's though.

Anyway is 250 to much to pay? Thats what they charge for motors and sell them ass re-buildable shortblocks.

i paid $400 for mine soo no $250 isn't much for a bp. there are a few differences from the kia bp to the mazda bp. tho im not sure how they will effect your swap

250 isnt bad for a motor with only 70k in my opinion. does it include the manifolds/alternator/etc?

there pretty much the same but make sure its the kia bp from the 91-96 kia sephia those r the only ones that use the stock harness that you have also the only version kia motors that will work with the g series 5 speed tranny i have one of those kia motors now but in a mazda 323 se but just have mine on boost now

they r actually a little better motor to get than the mazda version mainly because the kia version easy to find with low miles already and axles are better to work with if you are planning to boost
