Where to buy a battery

Get a Miata battery from a Mazda dealership. It's 15lbs lighter than the Protege one, takes up a lot less space in the engine bay, and says Mazda Performance right on it. LOL

$64 my cost.

I got my battery from action auto parts, a used reconditioned black top gel celled exide orbit battery for $75. Enough cranking amps to turn your car over in winter without stressing. I know it has no problem turning over a chevy 350..

i have a wal mart battery and its a POS. i forgot my radio on for 30 mins one day and it was completely dead... went to return it, and their "test" said that it was fine.

optima all the way... sure its ~$140 but good luck killing it!

I have run Optima Red Tops for the last 5 years and they were all excellent. only time I killed one is when my alt died. I now have a yellow top, its a ****ing beast.

what ever you do stay away from the low end advanced auto battery. mine is already leaking at the top . i have owned it only for a year. in winter it sounds like i kept my headlights on for a few day's and tried to start it. this battery is junk. i guess you get what you pay for.
