    my car

    I just crashed my car and I was wondering if a escort gt front end would fit. My neighbor is selling one for 300 bucks.

    If you don't want the doors to line up with your fenders you can put the escort front on it ( good luck ). If the escort is in good shape I would just put all of your running gear into it and call it good, or find another Pro shell for cheap

        Keep it looking like a black '94 Protege, because that would be the right thing to do.

          I hit the concrete barrier on the expressway. Sorry what I wanted to ask was will the front frame from the escort would fit. I was thinking of getting the escort taking off the fenders and bumper. Then I would put the frame from the escort on the protege and then put my bumper and fender on, fixed of course.

            Sorry to hear about that gotjuice... i don't know for sure but i would have to venture a guess and say that the framework is likely entirely different.. but once again i don't know.. what i do know is that it's waaaay too bad that you are in texas.. there is a clip 15 minutes from my house that would solve all your problems...



            its a DX but the yard wants $300 for it.. shipping it to Texas would be a deal breaker.

              If I get a dx I just have to change the motor, trany, computer, wiring harness, cv shafts.

                The escort radiator support is identical to the Protege Rad support. Most all of the pieces you will need will be interchangeable from the 'Scort to the Pro, but the time, money and effort will be far from worth it. Just buy another car. Believe me, you'll be happy you did.

                      i'd get a new shell. you bent the inner fenders. unless you take it to a body shop and put it on a frame puller, it won't drive the same, and things won't ever line up perfectly again.

                        i would get a shell as well like deadly_sleeper here in south florida at junk yard they have plenty of dx and lx shells available even with 5speed tranny and there pretty clean go for that price range your looking for $ 300-600

                          The frame is bent, I am going to look at a dx tomorrow its black and paint looks in great shape and it is a 5 speed. I get a pic later.
