    AWD Protege...needs headgasket

I have the opportunity to get an AWD 5 speed protege for $100. I'm pretty sure it needs a headgasket. Is it worth it? How involved is doing the HG on a sohc motor?

completely worth it. even if it has rust. and it's a 5 speed so you wouldn't have to convert it. even if you just buy it and turn around and sell it, there are lots of people on here looking for AWD cars.

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

Yea, I figured. It has 200k miles on it, and smokes a bit (before the HG blew). I figure I'll use it in the winter to save my Evo from the salt. Then, after I save some cash, BPt time

Other than that, is it a hard job to do?

IMO your time and money would be better spent swapping in a junkyard BP
