Been really thinking lately... Twin Engine???

Ive seen it a few times on other cars, but for some reason it came into mind the other day and ive been obsessing over it since. Anyone ever thought about doin it? It would be some work, but itd be ridiculous

    Both Bp's, Both Boosted

Also kinda thought itd be interesting to use pretty much 2 of each gauge lol.

I'm prolly gonna do this eventually, me and my buddies are all for it. I just dont have the funds right now so hopefully within 2 years? Itll be fun.

makes me think of that old ass video of the twin engine tiburon. totally stock internal, stock atx trans, just a turbo kit slapped on each motor. running 10's on some heavy 17's with street tires.

just imagine if you made an effort!! lol

I mean, you would be *nearly* doubling your hp to weight ratio (you would be adding quite a bit too), adding just a gtx motor doesnt even do that much, traction is WAY more limited, your at the limits of your drivetrain... but making a 2 motor 2 trans vehicle you would *basically* be stock and it should be able to take ALOT of punishment with 4 wheels pushing instead of 2.

Sounds like a fun Idea, I have seen a website for a vw siggamaracccccooo (I dont know how to spell these stupid german car names).
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

oh i have tossed this idea around too. a shifter wouldnt be that big of a deal. i had created a similar design on paper.

the only problem i see is making a front subframe fit the correct spots in the rear of the car.

That can be fixed by welding in a new frame. You'd have to figure out where to relocate the fuel cell though.

It'd have to be a custom cell, like the Durocco (twin engine Scirocco), and mount behind the driver/passenger seat and infront of the rear engine.

imagine how cool of a car you would have if you took all the money, time, and effort spent on a twin engine car, and instead invested it into some sort of lsx rwd project. 10's aren't hard to get in a ls based rx7.

twin engine cars. cool? yes. but extreme novelty.

LSx cars kinda FTL anymore. They've been done to death.
