Vin Number explain...

I want to get rid of my b3 and throw in a bpt in my 323.
So I found a man that is selling a front clip.He is telling me that this car is a gtr.He is too far to go check it by myself so I want to check it through the vin numbers. I don't want to jump over there for nothing.

Can someone explain to me what vin numbers mean.

Vin numbers are different in every market.
This car gt-r is European cause is LHD so it must be something like that: JMZBG83J200……. right ?

nar i collect there chasis numbers.. have over 40 of them!, so its bg8z(bg hatch 4wd turbo) 303 (corisponding year and number 3 varyent) then the next few are the number made, this is off the top of my head but il check my notes again to double check

Looks like it shoould be:

JMZBG83J2N0??????
JMZBG83J2P0??????
JMZBG83J2R0??????

or

JMZBG85J2N0??????
JMZBG85J2P0??????
JMZBG85J2R0??????

depending on year, and if it is a 3-door hatchback or 3-door fastback.

The J is the one you want to see.

I don't know. As far as I know there was only one BG 3-door.
