Alternator/water pump belt size (1.8 DOHC)

Does anyone know the proper length of the 1.8L DOHC belt? The parts stores I go to usually either sell me a belt too long, or one too short... The "too short" ones won't just slip over with the alternator pulled all the way back, and the "too long" ones won't properly tension (too loose). Search showed nothing either for me =(

What brand of belt did you use? I think I've used a Gates belt last tim with no issues. I'll see if I can measure mine tomorrow. I'm doing a waterpump on mine.

Well um.. don't worry about it now... long story short (posted full story on the mx forums): Car was totalled, frame completely destroyed (center console was pushed to the passenger seat), I'm okay just with a few stitches from slamming my head against the driver's window
