What did you do to your BG(part 8)

Just bought GTR rods and Pistons w/ARP rod bolts, and a ceramic coated BP26 exhaust Manifold and T3 adapter for the Hatch! The plan is to build a GTR shortblock, and toss the BP4W head on it. Then for the turbo, I'm not really sure what all clears with the bp26/t3 adapter combo, but whatever the largest turbo I can clear and get a good deal on, will be bolted on. And I want to run the 2000 miata harness and run either Hydra-nemesis, or Megasquirt. Whichever I can find a good deal on. I want to run distributor-less, but probably wont do COP's... And I'll probably get an M-factory diff and Kia trans for the swap too. Sound about right for a DD?!

Sounds like a good plan Cody. What are you going to run for an intake manifold?

I'll build an upper plenum for the lower 4W manifold. Or modify a gtr mani if I can get a good deal on one.

I'll see what his deal is. I've seen pretty good results with them, and I figured finding a used local deal should be easy since I'm relatively close to Flyin', but it really depends on what I find...

I've done it before, just use some sheet metal to shim the bracket.

good call! If I do end up removing too much bushing, I can just add a spacer from the bottom

as long as the bracket that holds the bush still "bottoms out" and its tight,should be fine.If im reading you right.

Changed the oil, rather successfully, today. No spills! lol Also rotated the wheels and swapped in my matching tail light that came in the mail today. Now the car doesn't look goofy from behind.

180 miles and the BG seems solid! I can't get over it hasn't leaked a DROP of oil from the turbo since I had the turbine seal scare :/ lol

Got some Kia Multi hole injectors from the junkyard for $20.

Made an interesting discovery at the junkyard as well today that I think a few people will be happy to hear about, more on that later after I do more measuring though........

Got some nuts instead of the wingnuts for my cutout plate and sealed that up. I've got a new lease on life now that I'm driving a car without exhaust leaks. lol also replaced a couple hose clamps that were stripped

It does have to do with the BG Sephia but not that part of it.

Do you mean the Kia BP or some other Kia engine?

Changed out my fancy OEM dual stage t-stat since it was acting up (turns out the rubber seal for the smaller stage had lodged it open) and installed my dual core rad

All seems to be good now, no fluctuating temp gauge AND I have heat!

Also swapped in the Supra VAF, but I think the guy I sold it too messed with it so I'm having issues getting it to run properly in boost

I might install my polished VC tom, I hear that toyota rtv is the stuff to use right? I dont want any leaks lol if i get the time and also need to tighten down a few things around the inside of the car
