Got my company to buy me a plane ticket to go pick up my 4 door, left it in Idaho after my boss blew out his knee and I had to drive the company vehicle out to North Dakota. Next saturday Ill be flying on four different planes to get to my car and have to drive it (14 hrs) right back to where I started the day before, lol.

I'm pretty sure the trans grenaded in my mx3 today. Front wheels locked up on the interstate and I slid to a stop. Killed some time while waiting on the tow truck and took a few pics.
And a fancy HDR.

Trans locking up at 50 would be a bit scary. Did it just slide off to the side like that, or were you able to steer it a bit?
Edit: Also, I'm thinking of mounting my side skirts in the next few days. Any tips? They're red, should I paint them first?Last edited by DuRWooD; 01-19-2013, 04:19 PM.sigpic

I did something. Not sure what. Something is either broken or in the process or breaking. The right front was being funny. Going down the highway tonight the wheel would periodically jerk out of my hand. It felt as if the steering had broken and the right front wheel was turned fully to the right. I could barely keep the car on the road, it was pulling so hard to the right. So I pulled off at the next opportunity and it felt like the wheel was about to fall off and was making some really evil noises. I pulled into a space and jiggled the wheels to check for play and the right front seemed to move a bit. I was nearly home, so I figured I would limp it back, but as soon as I pulled out of the space, all was well. Not a sound or movement. The whole rest of the way home I thrashed the car with hard stops, launches and some aggressive slaloming and nothing happened. I'm gonna take a look underneath it tomorrow and see what I find. Any ideas?Team Fail Motorsports
