Poly bushing do wear out, and they dry out and disintegrate worse than rubber IMO. Look at what my sway bar bushings looked like after 200k km.
And yeah, jack, they came with energy suspension kits. The kits were sent in the trunk of the cars, and the dealer had to install them, and some dealers didn't install them for some reason, and because of that, some s/r's are missing the energy suspension kits. (Some s/r's were also missing the centerforce clutches, and the iceman intake for the same reason.)
Anyways, I unloaded mine off the car dolly today, and moved it to it's parking spot next to a few of my other cars. I had my dad look at the damage, and while he doesn't think the car is worth fixing, he doesn't think the suspension was damaged either. So, maybe, just maybe, the s/r will be fixed over the summer, along with my '03 zx2.
Here are some pics of the car that I took today. Don't mind the duct tape holding the driver door closed. The impact caused the latch to not line up, so the door won't stay shut.

Well i bought a winter beater... Put the black DD away to avoid the salted roads.
Plus now that its lowered its a snow plow.
With a little cleaning really isnt that much of a beater .
Its a DX 1.6L base model. Only 178,000kms lady driven.
Religiously maintained by the owner. But I had to replace the water pump
And while i had it apart did the timing belt.
Threw on the GT factory wheels with studded snowys.

At least where I was from in WA, they didnt use salt on the roads in winter, they use a sand gravel mix so you get rock chips instead of rust. haha
I aquired a white 91 MX6 5spd that came from the PNW area, here in AZ. The paint and body were great and the interior was very good for its age with the only rust spot being on the trunk where the paint had chipped.
That car is now back in WA and my parents drive it everywhere.92 Mazda MX3 GS> For sale, $1750 OBO

Does anyone have a write up of swapping out the front / rear sway bar on?
I'm finally gonna go pull some and buy some delrin.
I'm buying a battery impact wrench and I'm going to the jy and blast some bolts off.
Also, what's the difference bw a stabilizer bar and a away bar? The pap has both listed and one is half the price of the other.

no difference between the two. The rear bar is easy to swap out, but the front bar you'll have to lower the back of the subframe down to slide the bar out.-Jack

front subframe bolts are 17mm, the sway bar mount bolts are 14mm, endlinks can be 12mm, 1/2 and up to 14mm...really depends on the brand lol. You never need more than 10-17mm to strip a BG basically lol.-Jack
