got too lazy to replace the booster, but between adjusting the pedal and the pads bedding in, the pedal and feel are right where I want them.
also replaced a couple of haggard vacuum lines on the firewall in hopes of curing a possible vacuum leak/lean condition. car seems to run better, at least.sigpic

I just rotated off my old HP+ to StopTechs not to long ago. Somehow the dusting is worse, although I'm currently braking from higher speeds than my time in Hawaii. But I'm much happier with mid-heavy braking on colder brakes. I guess they stopped making those for a reason.Beater=/= Sleeper

Installed the drivers side of this today to finish the pair.
Put about 25miles on the car post install. Car is noisier over a speed bump I've gone over two times a day for the past few months and 60mph+ braking feel has a bit more confidence behind it.
It's also cured my alcoholism and lack of faith in humanity.
On a serious note I'll post a few install hints and my overall opinion on them after a weekend of beating on it.Beater=/= Sleeper

what ****ing goddamn assclown decided making an engine with NO TIMING MARKS WHATSOEVER was a good idea?
new timing belt, tensioner, fancy-ass Gold Coast idler pulley, and serpentine belt are in and the car runs exactly how it did before I took it apart, so: nailed it.sigpic

neither, Zetec.
besides, the BP at least has TDC marks for the crank and cams. the Zetec has slots in the cams for a lock tool for cam TDC (which doesn't do a lot for the dickhead VCT setup) and nothing for the crank, you basically just aim it slightly to the right of 12 o'clock and hope for the best.sigpic

I never liked the forward most part of the mx3 console. Protege front/mx3 rear is the best of both worlds.Beater=/= Sleeper
