"There's a hierarchy of insanity in motor sports. Normal people think all racers are crazy. Folks who race sedans think people in open-wheel cars are nuts. People who race cars of any kind think motorcycle racers are absolutely off theirs meds. But there's one group that everyone agrees is made up of the most extreme, the most daring, and absolutely craziest people in racing - rally racers."

I had to pull the drivers door panel to fix a loose crossover wire and decided to throw on some peal and seal in the continued effort to classy up the BG.
I made poor cardboard template of the three large door frame holes. I wouldn't trust this stuff to do such a large void, I don't even trust it for the smaller one it did fill.
Door feels a bit more "thunky" I suppose.
Still have a noticeable 80mph+ wind noise now that the motor/exhaust isn't reving as high/leaking.
If I had to point fingers at anything it'd be the door handles.
Some kind of gasket material installed between the door handle should be able to confirm it. Don't know how to actually solve the problem if it is the issue.Beater=/= Sleeper

I've been collecting odds and ends all winter and will be putting a used GTR motor together soon for my black car. I'm sitting on:
Engine gasket set / head gasket
Boundary oil pump gears
ARP head studs
Debating whether i should stick with the GTR head or throw a BP05 head on there. I'm thinking GTR because, well, i have it. And also sodium filled exhaust valves.Escort GTR -- 11.87 @ 117.6 mph -- 320 HP / 325 Ft. Lbs. @ 23 PSI

As for my car I finally bit the bullt and pulled the number three plug that I found was seized/stripped on last spark plug change out. I was plannning for the worst(head removal) but came out pretty well overall.
It rounded off so I had to hammer a socket on it. It was a pain getting all the porcelain chips out of the well. I really lucked out judging by how trashed the bottom most threads look.
Used my fancy extend spark plug chaser to tidy up all the holes and try to avoid having to helicoil.
I also got to use my 3/8 driver because it's really awesome at jobs you don't want any deflection on.
I was really surprised how well it clean up the threads. I'm going to force myself to use it every time I pull plugs from here on out.
I did other stuff too.
But that'll be for another thread.Beater=/= Sleeper
