They make plenty of 15" DRs. Jon had 15" Hoosiers for the track, I'm running 205-50/15s on the wagon...

(90/10 drag struts up front, drag springs, subframe connectors, heavy duty rear control arms, and no front sway bar.) 275/60R15 drag radials on draglite wheels. That is one car that is almost impossible to hook up. The only time we ever got it to hook was with either mickey thompson drag radials or with drag slicks. Otherwise, all you did was smoke the tires when you rugged it.
I only drive a Protege bc its good on gas. I come from a long line of home built hot rods and we dont have traction issues. We have a lot more than traction bars and subframe connectors keeping 20k of engine and transmission on the road and straight. We pull wheels off the ground on the street.

But i think talking traction for fwd is going to be a different game than rwd. Different dynamics it would seem. We don't race fwd's in my family. We can't get a big enough motor in them.

Had a lead on for a front pipe with catalytic converter for the ZX2, as well as some front calipers...but after the asking price of $250 came up, I've decided to go new and spend $245...lol. Some people do NOT know how to price out used parts...and if you don't you find the cheapest matching parts, and cut that price in half lol. Should have been $125-150 MAX for that stuff, and the cat pipe wasn't even that nice looking. /rant-Jack

cut the perches and didnt get as much low as I thought. I can cut another 1/3 - .5 inch or so off, but I didnt have the dremel with me so be precise about it. Also got my msp shifter installed, but I need to get a knob for it. I'm also going to sell the es300 fogs,as I'm tired of trying to find a solution without cutting up the bumper. What else. Oh. Got my rain visors on and it rained, lol. And my ES stabilizer bar bushing came in, so on that goes trmw and a alignment since I have lifetime alignments.
I think thats all, lol. Oh. and contemplated buying a few bpt parts as I thought about buying a low milage bp, but I still want to drop that kl in instead. My car is a Vazondissan. Part Nissan. Part Mazda. Part Ford. Part VW. Part Honda.

A few days ago, I sanded down the burnt area on the hood and put some primer on it. THen removed the fender and stored it inside the car. I don't want it to rust from being exposed to rain and everything. Hoping to get out and work on it today, but I don't think I will be able to, as I just had my wisdom teeth removed yesterday, and I'm dizzy today from the medication. I don't want to hurt myself because of it.
BTW, anybody know of any cheap zx2's for sale locally? I need a parts car for mine. Here is what I need:
Must be 5 speed, and must have been built after 2/14/1999. Doesn't have to run. In fact, I'd prefer it didn't, so that i can get it cheaper. Don't care about transmission and clutch, nor about the suspension. The front end (bumper and headlights) must not be damaged, but I don't care if the rest of the car is damaged. Electrical system must be in good shape. I'd prefer something in the midwest area, but if it's cheap enough, I might consider going to other areas. My family has lots of bg's!

2000 Escort ZX2 S/R: bought wrecked, going to use as parts car
1992 Protege LX: My old race car. Just a wrecked shell right now. Waiting for scrap to go up so that I can get rid of it.
1992 Mazda 323: Race car
1992 Escort Gt: My grandpa's old race car
1994 Escort GT: My grandpa's new race car.

Yesterday was a big day for the wagon! If it had gone according to plan that is. But instead on the way back home from 2 speed shops to gather the remaining puzzle pieces, a nice old lady decided that my dent free, nearly perfect condition '00 Miata needed to look ****ty, because she was bored or something... Dirty old bitch was stopped southbound waiting to turn left in her POS 98 Explorer, meanwhile I was headed northbound down a hill toward the intersection she was stopped at, at 11 minutes 'til noon when it's super dark outside, on a snowy/Icy 85* F early summer day. I have no idea what the real excuse was, but when I was 15-20' from the intersection, she locked eyes with me, and jumped on the gas and swerved right into me. I got to spend the entire day in the hospital, and now here in the next few hours, the Miata will be gone from my life forever... Yay, thanks lady! That car took 4 years to hunt down, I must have looked at/driven 100 Miata's before I finally found the one I wanted... And I got to love every minute of the almost 4 months that I was allowed to own it! Oh and now the insurance company is trying to hump my butt without my consent! Awesome, time to lawyer up for the first time in my life! Yay! Oh and the injuries sustained are also going to prevent me from finishing the wagon on time. Awesome! FML.
Don't get me wrong, I am alive, and mostly whole, and I greatly appreciate that! It could have been way way worse, and I am grateful to be okay. I am just sour about the way it all went down. The other lady did get a citation, and I did not, so it's a no-brainer if I do have to proceed with legal action, but it would be nice for once, to not have to fight with an insurance company, while I am in so much physical and mental pain.
On to the carnage!
