Only $1k left of that ticket to pay... $200/mo sucks but I sure learned my lesson...

Nine screws for a piece of plastic that does nothing and takes no stress. How rediculous is that!

Did you happen to find my mouse's phone number in your mouse's nest? Probably Alabama area code, that's where the car came from, hillbillys don't need no stinkin' heat!

Wow, that was funny. I feel you though.
If there were any phone numbers in there, they were shredded so I couldn't read them.1990 Protege 4WD

Today I vacuumed my front seats and washed them with water from a hose then left them drying in the sun all afternoon. Also vacuumed the floor while they were out. Maybe tomorrow I can wash the exterior or clean the glass.1990 Protege 4WD

Washed it. I still need to wash the glass, but after that it will be very clean.
Also, I found a penny size rust bubble on my LR wheel well. This is my first unibody rust. I really don't like it. Been dreading this day for a long time.1990 Protege 4WD

Finally put a muffler on my Pro.
Big deal right?
Well, I was really tired of buying the stupid things and having them rust out, and then the next piece, and on and so forth.
And they are horribly restrictive, lost 3 mpg when I replaced a blown out one on the 323.
So I wanted stainless but I Po'.'
Bought a used $1000 Borla system off a Chevy of some sort for $50, two flat oval mufflers, one round one, lots of bendy pipes, nice clamps, hangers. Decided to advance my welding skills and gas weld it all, never had the stuff to gas weld SS before, but I'd rather use my torch than my TIG. So a $200 piece of filter glass for goggles and some special flux later, I made the rear section with muffler. 2" 16 gauge SS pipe, one flat Borla muffler. Muffler has a 2 1/2" core straight through; I thought it might be too loud, but wanted to try it without the resonator, since I also bought a SS Magnaflow round muffler with the same core to build one for the 323. Most amazing - it makes no more noise than the POS stock replacements with the under 1 1/4" pipes inside. Wish it made a little more noise! Now I get to make the part up to the cat, but no resonator needed. And then I do the 323 system, so when my daughter calls from Mass. and says her exhaust fell off, I can just take it up and bolt it on.
And I now realize that since that is all the muffler needed, when I do the rusty 323, I can reconstruct the bottom trunk floor to give a lot more useful space inside!
