Today is my first day at my new job, well same job/company as before, just a location 17 miles closer to home! So figuring that round trip I am saving 34 miles or approximately 1 gallon of gas each workday, at $3.00 a gallon, I should have an extra $783 to play with my BGs in the 2013 calendar year! Not to mention the extended life expectancy of my ****, saving 170 miles a week and all. It also gives me 3 hours and 45 minutes of extra free time each week, so it should be a productive year! And I drove the white car today for the first time in a while. I've been keeping the miles off it.

Tell me about it. Thinking of building a vintage Cafe Racer, or more likely a vintage scooter to further increase my mileage savings! I drove 40-45 miles round trip for work for the last three years, now I'm doing 6 or maybe a touch less. It's nice to be close again.

I've missed 2 wheels terribly since I sold my dirt bike, and it's time again.

I was driving 90mi everyday last summer so I bought my cbr. 65 mpg on average. I figured out that even after payments it was cheaper then driving the Subaru I had. Also alot more fun lol.

drove my bg for the first time all week. finally found some time to tuck the FMIC in a little more to fit inside the type b bumper. no way was i gonna hack up that golden bumper

I drive 80 miles round trip almost every day for college, but I'd never do it on a bike. Too many dang idiots that don't know how to drive. The road I drive is a two lane (one in one direction and one in the other) highway, and there are always guys going 35 mph when it's 55 mph, and then there are guys in their mercedes and jaguars that go 85-90 mph, and they ride everyone's bumper, and always try and pass even if there isn't enough room to do it safely. I've had to slam my brakes on multiple times because oncoming traffic don't care. I'd much rather have a seat belt, air bag, and car body around me when I drive that road.... I don't care if i could save a few hundred dollers a year. not worth it to me.

Today I resolved an issue on the 91 GT I bought: fuel starvation on right turns. Looked on FEOA for the how to on it, but I wasn't entirely convinced on the fix.
So I pulled the pump and re bent the fuel pick up downwards. Test driven and problem solved...Something made the fuel pick up screen shrink or the metal rods inside bend. just looking at it when I pulled it out gave me a clear indication. I cleaned the micron screen, bent the rods back to where I figured they should be...

Oh and I installed new front and rear speakers, resolved the issue of rear electric door locks sticking also...

The power locks stopped working in my protege. Not all at once though. Yesterday they would only work while the driver door was shut. Today there's nothing. I'm going to pull the relay for them when it isn't so cold.

That's interesting. Any idea what would cause it? Maybe installed poorly in the past?

Looking for some advice/direction.

Was finally getting around to working on the pro4wd. It looks like it ha been in a front collision of some sort. Is this fixable with in reason? I doubt Ill come across another 4wd shell anytime real soon.


Pichned Frame rail horn(?) under power steering tank.


I'm planning to call around to some collision shops this week and see what they can do. Also, thinking I can go chop the front off a 2wd as a donor. Pretty bummed out. Depending on the cost of the repair I may liquidate.
