    I have an idea!

    Whattup ya'll. Damn I miss being around here... I won't be continuing school after this term for a while, and my current g'damn stupid car is almost paid off. I been diying to get a 323, and tossing the idea around of an lx just cuz it's already for the motor. Well, suddenly after looking at some canadians bpt esocrt wagon, I got to thinking. An esocrt wagon, with bp.

    Forgive me, I've never looked at esocrt before PERIOD, and the idea sounds cool, and would work better for me too with rally and all. No, not as a competitor car, but for my regular duties i have an incredible amount of equipment to hall, and it's something I can sleep in. and a bp (possibly turbo one day) would make it more fun. How much harder are these things to swap the good motor in that a Mazda chassis?

    and btw, i'd LOVE to look at build threads of wagons if there are some around. post linky. sorry, i'm on a mobile so i can't really look efficiently.

      swap is pretty simple, just get all the mounts and harness, also dash harness i think. I was thinking of doin a bp escort wagon next too haha. you can find them for cheap as balls, and i would pimp it out with some ford laser stuff.

        lol, oh ya? i'm still thinking a 323 though this sounds like a really good and fun idea. gtr front bumper, throw my ginourmas basket on the roof, bp swap, gravel tires, and fab up some decent gravel suspension and call it quits there. Better drivers seat too, mx3? lol... Theoretically i'd be easy and quick to do... than again, this is ME we're talking about.. and FFS me and projects just don't go well

            I like it! I was actually seriously considering buying an escort wagon the other day. If I didn't have so many cars, I'd do it for sure.

              Why would anyone want an Escort Wagon?

              Edit: Especially one with an Engine Swap?














              A GTR Bumper would work nicely on a Tracer Wagon, since they have a flat bumper...

                  i'm trying to work with a balance of fun and practicality. the 323 isn't out of the question just yet. but lets face it... i don't lay down well in a 323...

                    got all the parts available for a 4g6t swap, suspension is easy as hell to come by. did i mention i live with a 4wd 4g63 6th gen colt, 2wd 6th gen colt colt, currently finished caging a 2wd na 2nd gen rally colt, with another 2nd gen colt being built for hillclimb. oh ya, theres a galant vr4 back there somewhere.. and an audi s1 replica. but who's counting.

                          Escort wagons are cheap. Parts are easy to find. And who wants a weird car when they can have a cool car, like a bp or fe3 powered wagon. Also, you said you like wagon build threads, I thought this car is pretty nice. I don't know if you've seen it or not, yet.

                            the van thing was just something that would be more beneficial, but less fun. anyway, i found an escort wagon that, by the sounds of it, is in pretty good shape. just needs tires and windscreen. and likely a clutch isn't too far away apparently this is the 2nd owner, and they havent needed to replace the clutch at all..?. everything about it is right up my alley. So, now comes the things that will make me sound like a noob... would i want to find a protege lx or egt as a donor car eventually. i'd like to see if i could get it all wrapped up by OTR, that way I can have something to crash in, and haul all my stuff in for once, aside from the sedan.

                            What i'm looking at is:
                            bp swap
                            rear discs
                            likely mx3 recaro styles
                            and i'll add some tough stuff too for protection for those special roads.

                            is there anything i need to keep an eye on, on the 1.9 liter motor?

                            whats the scoop on the trannies.. would i need to swap out the stock tranny for the g series also?
                            it does have ac and cruise, and i'm going to suspect i want to source canadian seatbelts eventually too. (i hate automatic belts) anything else I should know? thanks guys


                            and btw, if anyone close to Yakima is available to check out the car for me in person before I can get up there, that would be great. let me know if you are available
