if you're going to bleed them, ****, just flush the old fluid out and dump new **** in. It'll cost you a bit more, but I'm guessing that its never been done since you bought the car and the previous owner probably didn't do the **** either.

you got fluid in your master cylinder res??Does your pedal " pump up"?

Ok try this. Step 1: Start the car and press the pedal and hold it down. Does the pedal fade to the floor? If yes it is a bad master cylinder, if no go to next step. Step 2: what color is the brake fluid and is it translucent? If it is almost black flush the entire system. Step 3: If your vehicle is equiped with rear drums, clean the brake dust off with some water, and adjust the shoes till the fit snugly into the drums. Aslo look if the rear wheel cylinders are leaking break fluid. These are the only things that will cause a "funny" feeling brake pedal. Good luck.Too bad I have AWD and you don't!

some air in the lines can make the pedal feel mushy... and it's easier to bleed the brakes then it is to replace the m/c or brake fluid._________________________________
