I have only heard that the engine is the same..... Never heard about the suspension, but if you find out I am all ears.

The (dont quote me!) ~97/98 ish kia used the BP from what I have read.

The ford escort GT got the BP from 91-96 (minus the MBSP) same as the Mercury tracer LTS.

I have never read of any suspension/other parts that swap over. We do have a few kia members here, you might pm them and ask if they have tried any of the suspension stuff.

the 95-7 Sephia 1.8 is basically a 90-4 BG platform with the 95-8 OBDII BP. that said i am 99.9 percent sure most everything will swap.....
Original owner: 1991 Protege LX (now w/SOHC) and a few more BG's ....

BG platform, as in chassis, as in suspension

I saw a BP Sephia at the j/y the other day... bastards wouldn't sell me the header unless I bought the whole engine 'cause it only had 40,000 miles on it It had no hood on it and the plug wires were gone so the holes for the plugs were filled with rain-water. Who the hell is gonna want to buy that motor when it's been sitting with water in the plug holes like that? grrr....

Can't a turning over and two straight months in the burning sun evaporate the water out of anything?
