escort suspension question

i was wondering if the zx2 has the same suspension as a 1999 escort. the reason i ask this is because i just yanked the front struts of a 1999 escort at the j/y. i was going to use the top mounts(mine are shot),the trust bearings, and the top perches for the tokico zx2 sr struts but if its not the same i will bring them back.

the only difference is the motor (SOHC vs DOHC) and 2 vs 4 doors AFAIK.

yesterday i ripped the struts assembly apart to get the mounts,thrust bearing,spring and the purch. i'm taking the struts back soon to get the full price back that i paid for them. thats what the guy told me to do. so i just got all the parts that i need for the zx2 tokico struts for free. i'm bringing the struts back because the drivers side got hit(kinda like my car) and the bottom of the strut was bent. if it wasn't for that i would have just swapted them with the old ones.

I have two used struts from a 1998 regular Escort LX in Miami. just in case. I bought new ones because of a noise in the front and figured it was that or the strut mount. I spent my money for nothing. Well, I did get new struts.

well my car is back to stock height. well the back im useing stock protge springs and the front is escort springs. the front sits higher than the stock protege i think. so now i just going to wait for the springs and zx2 struts.
