    tie rod compatibility

    ok, well I have to replace my tie rods this week and i was at the parts store when the parts clerk tells me there 38 A PIECE!! then he makes a redneck comment"well they gotta import all these from that there japan" and i thought "hmm... let me see a TR for an escort" the part numbers where 1 off but they look identical. Has anyone ever used them?? the life time replacement ones where 18.99. Hella better than 40 bucks!

    I got all my innner and outer tie rods for $70 shipped on E-Bay. Look around

      Well i installed the EGT tie rods and they fit! i still need an alingment but a side by side of them they are the same. I did find out that you should check them first, my roommate decided to do this to and his where to long, and had a different part number than mine.

        When I have to go to the hick parts place, I tell them to look up an EGT. haven't had a compatibility prob yet.

        94 Protege LX: HX-35, Megasquit, ect...
        98 Subaru Legacy GT-DD: 1 inch lift, and all the standard N/A stuff.
