LOL...yeah I don't plan on modifying the wheels, but I really don't think there is anythink wrong with the car. Anyway I'll see if the rims would fit on the old DX spindles. I can't remember the year protege I pulled the rear LX spindles from. In a way I hope they won't fit over the old DX spindles, that way I know it's the wheels. If they do fit I spent/wasted a good amount of money on 4 steel wheels.

No offense, but I suggest you try the wheels on another stock Protegé.

Don't have another stock protege to try . I know they don't fit over the GTX hubs either. When I made that post about wheel wobble I still had the GTX spindles installed up front and I was trying to install the wheels on them. The wheel couldn't get over the ridge/ring on the hub that goes around the spindle nut, thus the wheel wasn't sitting flush to the brake and the brake wasn't being pushed fluch against the hub surface.

The only other thing I can try is to see if the wheels go over my old stock DX hubs.....
No offense was taken....I already claimed to be the worst shade tree mechanic ever .

The wheels will probably go up on ebay some time next week, or if some one here wants them, I need to get some pics of them.

          Very odd problem you're describing.

At least now your shiny calipers will stay shiny longer! (albeit off the car )

LOL BA-ZING! Almost all of my shiny calipers will be back on the car come Saturday with the exception of the right rear. I haven't tried to remove the broken bleeder from it and I'm in no rush to get it fixed as the replacement caliper works just fine and I already adjusted the ebrake on it. 3 out 4 calipers is not too bad, and the problem caliper will go on eventually…..after this whole situation fades into a distant memory .

You had a speed bleeder right? I remember back in the day this was a frequent problem because the speed bleeders are too long for our calipers or something to that effect. I think there's a special one for our cars that most places dont know about. As far as removing it, it should come right out with an easy out, most people found it came out with just over "hand loosening" force.
