    Problems with brake swap

    MY car is a DX, so I made a Escort GT brake swap and I am having problems with the rear emergency brake I adjust it and in a few days (5 to 7) it get like know one has adjusted ever any sugestion to me. Please I am getting

    did you adjust it at the calipers or at the brake handle? i have noticed that they go out of adjustment quickly if you use it a lot... could just be stretching cables.

      I always adjust it at the calipers and the cables are brand new OEM the old ones where all rust out.

      other question is that I still have the DX master cylinder is any difference between DX and LX

        i believe the difference is in the proportioning valve (on the firewall), not the master cylinder itself.

        your brand new cables probably did stretch, and it sounds like you adjusted it properly so i would just readjust and see how it goes after that

            I know on the mx3 that the booster and master are different between the RS and GS. GS being bigger.
