    steering rack?

im going to be buying a steering rack to replace my old one

there is some bushing right at the firewall in the engine bay and its all cracked and warn out falling apart where can i get it?

other then tie rod ends and fluid what else do i need to install a new rack?

reason im replacing the rack is because its making a knocking noise when i shake the wheel left to right even louder when the car isn't running steering is sloppy and not as responsive as when i got the car it now has 160,000 miles

get a mx3 GS (v6) rack & inner tie rods for that, you'll be happier with the result in feel of response & control.

The mx3 v6 rack is a power rack. It also has a closer lock to lock ratio.

              mazda dealer.

if that is all cracked and broken that is probably the cause of your sloppy steering.

or just the rubber weather seal?

might be the weather seal if its right at the firewall

im going to take it in for an alignment because i need one after having to unbold the rack from its mounts to remove and install the new subframe

but i know it wont fix the clicking from the steering system

mx3 rack FTW! & the JY for that rubber piece, If its the rubber circle your talking about that rests up to the firewall section id just grab that from whatever other rack you get...
