Energy Susp Tie Rod End Boots...

ordered these, and wasn't sure if they're just supposed to sit on top of the stock rubber boots to help prevent excessive play in the joint.

those are just plastic protecters that come on there from the factory so the rubber boot doesnt tear during shipping

If you looked into it a little more, the urethane boots replce torn rubber boots. If you get the Spicer replacement rod ends, they come with blue rubber versions of this same design. They slip in place, covering the exposed joints when installed. You just need to be sure that they don't fold up on themselves. I've used them on the rally cars in the past, to use good ends with bad rubber boots.

I removed the polyurethane boots from the energy suspensions package and put them on the outer tie rod ends, they did not come with them.
From how they look, they'd just go over them but if they're just gonna tear in a few weeks, maybe i'll just leave em off. I guess it won't really hurt them to have em on.

what I also did was get these ones off of zxtuner, so my next question would be:
if they fit on a 91-96 tracer/escort, should they fit on our vehicles too?
