I seriously love how a link to Ebay is posted.....and no more than 1.5 hours pass and we now have pricing and full Mazda part numbers with exploded diagrams.

Item Number - MSRP - Core Price - - Price
    N0672628X - $101.60 - $0.00 - - $74.36
    N0672629X - $101.60 - $0.00 - -$74.36

Well I just called a buddy at a local mazda yard and he has a pair of the calipers there.. I am trying to work a deal for the calipers and rotors to see if this truly works.. Who needs to spend 350 on ebay anyways...

I have BG rear calipers rotors and spindles chillin in my shed. I'll sell them all for 120 plus shipping.
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

I have a Escort GT rear caliper in my hand right now.

The e-brake and all that jazz is on the caliper itself. It has nothing to do with this mounting bracket.

lol. 350 to me is kind of steep for this kit. What is the advantage of having a larger rotor with the stock caliper?

Better leverage on the rotor by the pad because of the diameter increase. Larger heat sink because of the increased rotor mass. Larger aftermarket support for rotors (miatas).....and they look cooler in 16" and 17" rims

....and for the show-circuit people out there....it looks good on a Mod List that you did the super-hard-JDM-tyte-yo Miata Rear Brake Conversion

i know the ebrake cable has nothing to do with the mounting bracket, i just thought people were going to try to use the miata calipers too, thats what it's lookin like those part numbers are for...at least i thought.

No. Looking at the part numbers was to Isolate the specific bracket out of the Miata caliper assembly (to use with the stock Pro LX/EGT rear caliper).
The whole caliper is usually the way you get them from Parts Stores or the Dealership. This whole search was so you didn't have to do that....which would normally mean scrapping the Miata caliper afterwards (that would be an expensive waste).

but who's not to say the miata calipers wouldn't work?

i wish i could find a damn picture of the sport calipers...

Or do what I do. Buy everything, take out what you need (the brackets) then return the ****. Done it several times to autozone. Shi-t I returned camry axles for the core on BH ones

Seems like the miata also came with a 10.9" front rotor too. I wonder what they're front caliper code is 22-14v would be sweet :D

just don't use a credit card when you do garbage like that.

And would the bg rear caliper be able to take a thicker disc?
I had to forcer the caliper on the new rotors I had in the back.
