    Mx3 rs to 323 brake portioning valve

    Is there a difference? Both are front disc and rear drum but the mx3's are larger calipers.

    I'm wondering if the larger calipers need more pressure or something thus a different valve?

    My car has this setup with the mx3 larger front brakes with rear drum and 323 portioning valve. The booster is working fine but after driving my truck the car's brakes feel weak. I bled them and ther'se no real difference. The car stops and slows decently fast but for real stop-on-a-dime braking i almost need to stand on the peddle, and there is no chance of being able to lock it up (falken ziex 205/45/16 tires).

    Like I said I'm used to my truck that doesn't need trailer brakes to stop a 6000lb trailer and has ABS and EBFD.

    same thing i'd imagine

    the 9" and 10" calipers use the same diameter piston. in fact the inside half of the caliper is interchangeable. just the outer part that holds the pads is different.

      So I think it was a combo of rotor rust and being used to a truck with BIG brakes. I stops well enough but there is an odd sound from the passenger front when brakes are applied.

      The sound is a clunking and its repetitions are proportional to the cars speed and I only seem to hear it at near stopped speeds. I have slotted rotors but thats not it as the other side only makes a swishing sound (which they both used to do).

      The passengers axle doesn't click during turns or ever for that matter. The car has new ball joints, tie rod ends and wheel bearings.
