Ok i'v been searchin for a how to and as much info as i can for this swap but i cant seem to find much. Im wonderin what year zx2 do the struts need to be out of ( or is there only one gen? im a newb) and do i just need the struts? Also what aftermarket springs do you prefer and if there is any how to's can i get a link to them. Thanks

click on the ford logo to go to the online parts store. the stuts are part number zx-1800 or some such. i'd post the direct link, but the online parts store seems to be down right now. they are somethink like 170 shipped. price are why so much of us have them, but they are decent struts.---prakash

You'll need ZX-2 upper strut mounts...get all of it from the top of the spring to the nut on the top. I'm sure someone could fill you in on exactly what bits you need, but when I did this to mine I just used everything from the ZX-2 instead of just picking the individual pieces. Cost me all of $6 from the junkyard.

all you need is the thrust bearing and the upper spring perches (for the front). you can keep your stock mounts (the parts with the 4 studs that bolt to the body).
the rears are a direct bolt-in with all stock mounts and such.Escort GTR -- 11.87 @ 117.6 mph -- 320 HP / 325 Ft. Lbs. @ 23 PSI

well not a true coilover if you're going with s/r struts already...you can go with a coilover sleeve kit (slides down over your strut body and sits in the perch).
Ground Control ($400) is your best bet, or you can order some ebay coilovers ($70ish) and replace the springs, springss are about $50-60/ea.
